Welfare- Flu Vaccinations
This Year all primary aged school children will be offered the flu vaccination. The flu vaccine helps protect children against flu, which can be a very unpleasant illness and lead to complications such as bronchitis and pneumonia. The flu vaccine also helps to prevent transmission of flu to the wider community, including older family members and new born babies who have weaker immune systems.
Parents will therefore receive a consent form which should be signed and returned to school to enable your child to be vaccinated.
Please see documents below for further information regarding the vaccination. If you have any questions please don't hesiatate to contact Julie, our Lead Welfare Officer.
